Winter Weather Update from the City of Kansas City
1/7/25: Due to extreme temperatures and the need for drivers to focus on treating roads, trash and recycling services will be canceled on Tuesday, January 7, Wednesday, January 8, and Thursday, January 9. Bulky item pickup is also canceled for the rest of the week. Residents with appointments should use the myKCMO app to reschedule. Collections between Monday, January 13 and Thursday, January 16 will be allowed to have two extra bags . Residents will not need to use bag tags for extra bags. There will be extra bags collected Friday, January 10 for those who did not have their trash picked up Friday, January 3.
