6th District Trash Drop Off

 On Saturday, May 3rd, the 6th Council District drop-off trash site will be operated by the Public Works Department and will be open from 8 a.m. to noon for all KCMO residents. It is located at First Baptist Church of Kansas City (corner of Red Bridge & Wornall Rd). The site will accept leaves and brush, tires trash, items, and also offer on-site shredding.

Operate generators outside Don't operate a generator inside the home, including in the basement or garage. Watch space heater placement If you are using a space heater, place it on a level, hard surface. Keep anything flammable at least three feet away. Check AC/furnace unit Make sure your HVAC has a clean filter and is free from debris.   Avoid heating with a stove Never use a stove or oven to heat your home. Doing so can increase the risk of burns and other health issues. Bring pets indoors If they can’t come inside, make sure they have shelter and access to clean water.
